Senate Ag approves Scuse, Culver, Sherrick

The Senate Agriculture Committee today approved the nominations of Michael Scuse to be Agriculture undersecretary for farm and foreign agriculture services and a member of the board of directors of the Commodity Credit Corporation.
Scuse is serving as acting undersecretary and is a former agricutlure commissioner in Delaware. The vote was unanimous by voice.
The committee also approved the nominations of former Iowa Democratic Gov. Chet Culver and Bruce Sherrick of Illinois to be members of the board of directors of the Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation.
The nominations will now go to the full Senate for consideration.
