‘Let’s Move’ executive director has departed

Dr. Judith Palfrey, head of First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign, left the White House at the end of December without fanfare, the Chicago Sun-Times and Obamafoodorama reported today. She began the job on September 6.

A pediatrician who left her position as the T. Berry Brazelton Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School to join "Let's Move," she returned to Boston to be closer to her family, according to the first lady’s press office, Obamafoodorama said.

Palfrey was the second executive director of the campaign. She replaced Robin Schepper, a public relations executive, who was in the post for 10 months.
