Roberts to host Senate farm bill hearing in Kansas in August

Senate Agriculture Committee ranking member Pat Roberts, R-Kansas, announced today that a field hearing on the next farm bill will be held in Wichita, Kan., on Thursday, August 25.
Roberts said he was pleased to announce that the hearing would be held “right in the heartland of America.” The hearing will be held from 9 a.m. until noon at the Hilton at the Wichita Airport.
The first field hearing was hosted by Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich. in May.
