Happy Holidays from CFA: Watch calories in what you drink

Noting that the federal government has declined to give consumers “the gift of information on alcoholic beverages,” the Consumer Federation of America today pointed to its chart revealing the caloric and carbohydrate content of some alcoholic beverages.

CFA noted the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau in 2007 proposed a rule to require a standardized “Alcohol Facts” panel on all beer, wine and distilled spirits products, but has never finalized it.
