UN Human Development Report notes soil, forest declines

The United Nations released its 2011 human development report this week, analyzing sustainability and equity in 187 countries.
The report did not focus on food availability, but noted that soil has been degraded around the world and that deforestation is a problem.
The report focuses on sustainability and equality and puts Norway at the top of the list. The top 10 includes the United States, but the report says that one of the problems in sustainability in the developed countries is the consumption of processed food.
