Vilsack traveling to China, Vietnam

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will travel to China and Vietnam in mid November, USDA has announced.

In 2011, China moved ahead of Mexico and Canada as the United States' number one market for U.S. agricultural goods, USDA said, while Vietnam has jumped from 50th to 15th as a market for U.S. farm exports. The value of U.S. agricultural exports to Vietnam is $1.3 billion.

Vilsack will travel to China as part of the Obama administration's delegation attending meetings for the 22nd Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade .
