Turkey Federation appoints Picard to v.p. post

The National Turkey Federation has announced the appointment of Lisa Wallenda Picard, formerly chief of staff at the Agriculture Department Food Safety and Inspection Service as the organization’s new vice president of scientific and regulatory affairs.

Picard also worked in several other capacities at FSIS, including acting assistant administrator in the Office of Public Affairs and Consumer Education and director of the Congressional and Public Affairs Office.

Picard received her M.A. in legislative affairs from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and a B.A. in communications from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla. She is also a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute in Charlottesville, Va.
