Senate appropriators to mark up 2012 Ag bill

The Senate Appropriations Committee will mark up the fiscal year 2012 Agriculture appropriations bill on Wednesday.
There has been no Senate markup at the subcommittee level, and the full committee is also scheduled to consider the energy and water development and homeland security bills the same day.
The House passed a fiscal year 2012 Agriculture appropriations bill earlier this year, but there are expected to be substantial differences between the two bills and there is no clear route to passage of a final Agriculture bill before the end of the fiscal year on Sept. 30.
