Farm broadcasters name new director

The National Association of Farm Broadcasting has named Tom Brand its new executive director.
Brand, who has been the farm director at KFEQ radio in St. Joseph, Mo., will begin his new role on August 1 at NAFB’s headquarters located in Platte City, Mo.
A native of Nodaway County, Mo., Brand grew up on a diversified family livestock and grain operation. He began his farm-broadcasting career at the Brownfield Network in 1993 and later served as the assistant farm director for KMA Radio in Shenandoah, Iowa. He served as the NFB’s president in 2003.
