Senate Ag to consider CFTC nominee

Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., announced today that the committee will hold a hearing next Thursday on the nomination of Mark P. Wetjen to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and another nominee, whose name has not been announced.

Wetjen, a Nevadan, is an aide to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev. If confirmed, he would succeed Commissioner Mike Dunn.
