Roosevelt Partnership launches video campaign

As part of a campaign to influence the finalization of the national forest planning rule, the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership has launched a video blog campaign and is providing viewers with a way to comment on the rule.

The first “TRCP’s Native Trout Adventures” video shows members of the TRCP and its sportsmen partners as they fly fish in Montana for native trout that it says are dependent on sound public-lands management.

Viewers can post comments after watching the three-minute clip, and the website provides a link to send a letter to Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and the National Forest Service Land Management Planning office on the proposed planning rule.

“While the draft product is promising, American sportsmen remain critical of shortcomings that could drastically affect prime fish and wildlife habitat,” Joel Webster, director of TRCP's Center for Public Lands, said in a news release.
