House Ag staffer joins Monsanto

Scott Kuschmider, a former staff director of a House Agriculture Committee subcommittee, has joined Monsanto’s Washington office as director of government relations.
When the Democrats controlled the House, Kuschmider was staff director of the House Agriculture Rural Development, Biotechnology, Specialty Crops and Foreign Agriculture Subcommittee. He remained a professional staff member until accepting the Monsanto position.
Kuschmider joined the House Agriculture Committee in 2007 as a professional staff member specializing in press relations. He had previously been a legislative assistant and press secretary for Democratic Reps. Dale Kildee of Michigan and Ken Lucas of Kentucky.
Kuschmider grew up in Olathe, Kan., and has a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Kansas.
