North Bridge hires managing director

North Bridge Communications, a food and farm-oriented public relations firm, has hired Dave Ray as a managing director.
Ray has been vice president for public affairs at the American Meat Institute (AMI), where he was a spokesman and advised the industry during crises involving mad cow disease, avian influenza, and product recalls.
Ray, a native Ohioan, holds a degree in agriculture economics from The Ohio State University. In a news release, the firm said Ray's livestock sector experience would compliment its row-crop expertise.
