Sonny Ramaswamy, the director of the Agriculture Department’s National Institute of Food Agriculture, told an Israeli audience this week that a variety of methods are needed to increase food production in a “flatter, hotter and more crowded world.”
Ramaswamy was the keynote speaker at a conference sponsored by the Israeli Agriculture Ministry’s Agricultural Research Organization. The title of the conference was “Increasing Future Food Production: Challenges and Opportunities for the New Era.”
