International Feed names new executive director

Alexandra de Athayde, a former Monsanto executive and adviser in the Brazilian Agriculture Ministry, has been named executive director of the International Feed Industry Federation, the Brussels-based group announced today.
De Athayde previously held positions within the Monsanto Company Corporate Affairs Department in Brazil, the United States and Europe. She has focused on building coalitions with industry partners in the Food/Feed Chain, farm industry organizations, governments, academic community, and other stakeholders, with an emphasis on agricultural biotechnology policy, to create awareness and acceptance in the world regions, IFIF said in a news release.
She holds an executive M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor of arts degree in international relations from York University in Canada.
