FDA hires Waldrop

The Food and Drug Administration has hired Chris Waldrop for a position in its Center for Food Safety and Nutrition Office of Analytics and Outreach.

Waldrop left the Consumer Federation of America today after 12 years and has been director of its Food Policy Institute.

He has also served on the Agriculture Department’s National Advisory Committee on Meat and Poultry Inspection and on FDA’s Food Advisory Committee.

He holds a degree in advertising from Texas Tech University and a master of public health degree from Johns Hopkins University.
