Senate Ag to hold hearing on bio-based manufacturing

Senate Agriculture Committee Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., announced today that she will hold a hearing on Tuesday, June 17 entitled “Grow it Here, Make it Here: Creating Jobs through Bio-Based Manufacturing.”

The hearing will be held in Room 328A of the Russell Senate Office Building at 10 a.m., with these witnesses:
  • Scott Vitters, general manager, PlantBottle Innovation Platform, The Coca-Cola Company, Atlanta, Ga.
  • Ashford Galbreath, director, advanced materials and comfort engineering, research and development, Lear Corporation, Southfield, Mich.
  • Kurtis Miller, BU president, Cargill Industrial Specialties, Cargill, Inc., Hopkins, Minn.
  • Adam Monroe, president, Americas, Novozymes North America Inc., Franklinton, N.C.
  • J.D. Hankins II, vice president, Hankins, Inc., Ripley, Miss.
