Watson Mulhern LLC, an agriculture issues management and policy firm, will become Watson Green LLC, as Randy Green, a senior government relations representative at the law firm of McLeod, Watkinson & Miller, joins the firm.
Green will succeed Jim Mulhern, who is leaving to become the chief operating officer of the National Milk Producers Federation.
Watson Mulhern was founded in 2006 by Lisa Watson, who will continue as a principal with the firm. Green will continue to collaborate with McLeod, Watkinson & Miller, Watson said in a news release today.
Green has been with McLeod, Watkinson & Miller since 1999, and is a former chief of staff for the Senate Agriculture Committee and also served as an Agriculture deputy undersecretary.
Watson Green and McLeod, Watkinson & Miller will collaborate in serving certain clients and pursuing select joint business opportunities, Watson said in the news release. Green will continue to assist in representing some of McLeod, Watkinson and Miller’s clients as part of the two firms’ joint initiative, but the firms will remain independent, Watson added.
