Peterson: Ryan pick bad for farm bill prospects

House Agriculture Committee ranking member Collin Peterson, D-Minn., said in an interview this week that Mitt Romney’s choice of Paul Ryan as the Republican vice presidential nominee may be bad news for writing a farm bill this year because Ryan has been one of the opponents of the bill.

Peterson made the comments in an interview with AgriTalk, and FarmPolicy has provided an unofficial transcript.
